Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox studied flute, piano and harpsichord in the Royal Academy of Music London for three years in the 70s. She managed to make it on her student stipend while working part time jobs. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill when compared with her peers and was contemplating a different direction she would take. Lennox began her career in 1976 as a member of the group called Dragons Playground. The group didn't make it to the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. The singer was the primary voice of The Tourists a British pop band between 1977 and 1980. The band she was in, was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create The Eurythmics the pop group. Lennox then began to work on her first solo album Diva that was out by 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise from critics and the public.
